Every frame has to earn its place. I start with what the film needs to feel like, then work backwards to how to shoot it.
Influenced by analog filmmaking traditions. I shoot for atmosphere — the kind that doesn't need explaining.
Trained in Meisner and Uta Hagen. I direct actors from what the character wants, not what they should look like.
